Danny was born and still resides in the mountain lakes region of northeastern Alabama. After graduating from Auburn University, he pursued a career in his field of study; logistics. Finding a need for change, he began a new career in his secondary studies; art. Today, he serves as President (and product designer) for an art framing, components company.

Danny’s art interest range from landscape, travel and nature photography to three dimensional art. His three dimensional art has been recognized in several publications and has won top honors in regional, national and international competitions. 

His involvement in photography came from the need to photograph his three dimensional art. Soon, creating three dimensional art took a backseat to his new interest: photography. His photographic interest subjects vary widely, but perhaps his favorites are travel photography and rural scenes. Whether it be the scene, the light or the subject, he feels his best work are the ones where he has made an “emotional connection” to the subject. He feels the biggest compliment to his work is when someone tells him that the photography made them feel as if they were there. 

Today, Danny’s photography is published by several publishers and is marketed worldwide. The main focus and target market of his photography centers around the home décor and hotel industry and is published under the names, Danny Head, D Burt and Andy Amos (his dogs’ names).
